Oakhill College seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Food Technology / Hospitality Teacher to join our passionate team of TAS educators. In this role, you will inspire students by delivering engaging and practical lessons that foster a love for food technology, cooking, and design, with a focus on creativity and innovation.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the areas listed below:

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons across Stages 4 - 6.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Hospitality lessons.
  • Encourage students to develop their cooking skills, food safety knowledge, and creativity in the kitchen.
  • Willingness to teach Technology Mandatory.
  • Use effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated approaches and a variety of stimulating and interactive resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Create and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Managing student behaviour.
  • Assessing, providing feedback and reporting on student learning.
