Amplify Music Education is looking for a Product Manager to join the team.

As the Product Manager you will be instrumental in creating a world class product for our customers. You will work closely with senior leadership on the holistic vision of the product, whilst managing the day-to-day development. You are creative, have a sharp eye for detail, interested in progressive pedagogical approaches and can work to deadlines. Your computer skills will be top notch and you will be eager to learn about the global education landscape.

As part of the this role you will:

  • Work with team to come up with creative ideas for new lessons and assist with ideating associated content
  • Write lesson plans and instructional content
  • Create accompanying lesson materials
  • Use our proprietary CMS to create and upload lesson content
  • Localise lesson content per geographical requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams - tech, content, school engagement, sales
  • Be borderline obsessed with the customer, their needs and how we can best support them
  • Utilise evidence and data to track product performance and integrate learnings back into product development

About Amplify:

Amplify is an online platform that primary schools use to deliver the compulsory music curriculum. We believe that no student should miss out on the intrinsic benefits of learning music at primary school and using technology is the only way to make it accessible and equitable for all. Our mission is to upskill and support primary school teachers to teach fun, engaging and enriching music lessons that meet all curriculum outcomes, by giving them the tools they need delivered through state-of-the-art content and technology.

Whilst we have only been in the market in Australia for three years, we are growing fast and are already being used in over 800 primary schools predominantly in the public and catholic sectors. We are also in the early stages of international expansion.

What’s required for this role:

Education and Experience:

  • 7 - 10 years experience as a primary school teacher. This could be recent or earlier in your career
  • Experience working in a primary school environment

Specific skills that would be favourable:

  • Basic knowledge of musical concepts such as beat, tempo, pitch, melody etc.
  • Ability to read traditional music notation
  • Experience using products such as Canva, Wordpress, YouTube, Spotify

Physical Requirements:

Our office is located in Surry Hills (Sydney) in very close proximity to public transport (train, bus, light rail) and surrounded by awesome cafes and places to eat.

We are a team that enjoys coming to the office and working together and are looking for someone interested in doing the same.

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on the computer. The office is open-plan with breakout areas for calls and meetings.
