This vacancy is no longer open.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Christian Bus Driver to join our College in a part-time position (70 hours per fortnight) based at our Kenwick campus, commencing as soon as possible.
Do you have a passion for making a positive impact on children’s lives? Love driving and ensuring a safe, comfortable journey? If so, this may be the role for you!
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently for extended periods, as well as being a real “people person” with a love for sharing life and faith with staff and students in our College community.
About Rehoboth
As the first Christian parent-governed school in Western Australia, we are pioneers of distinctly Christian education. Our rich heritage stretches back almost sixty years; we have learned a fair bit in that time and are always seeking ways to improve and innovate.
Rehoboth exists to partner with families in their God-given task of nurturing and educating their children. You will be joining a team who really believe in their mission to lead students to think and live for the glory of God in every aspect of their lives.
About the Position
Your day will involve safely transporting students to and from the College campus in the mornings and afternoons, working 50 hours a fortnight. You will carefully drop off each child at their designated stop and ensure they reach home safely, always with a friendly wave and a smile.
You will also be driving 20 hours per fortnight for excursions. Excursions tend to be irregular and intermittent; some weeks may require more bus driving than others, therefore we will average your contracted hours each semester.
The successful candidate will have a “can-do” attitude and always remain focused on safety and service delivery. The College observes best practice regarding maximum work hours and stand-down/rest requirements for passenger transport drivers. Our buses can accommodate between 39 - 57 adult passengers.
We offer potential flexibility for individuals interested in a mix of bus driving and facilities maintenance work. We highly value experience in gardening and handyman/trade skills.
This is an ongoing position to commence as soon as possible, during term time only.
What You Need to Succeed
Apart from the necessary qualifications, we look for people who are a great cultural fit. Rehoboth is a community of Christians – parents and staff alike. We focus on supporting each other in our spiritual walks, encouraging students to explore their faith and discover their God-given gifts.
Because of the deeply Christian nature of our College, we consider all staff to be role models to students, no matter what position they hold. We take your active involvement in a local Protestant Christian church, a deeply committed Christian lifestyle, and ability to articulate your personal Christian faith as evidence of your desire to help build a vibrant Christian community at Rehoboth.
