The VCE Chief Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the smooth and compliant administration of all Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) external assessments within the school, ensuring adherence to VCAA guidelines, compliant examination conditions, and fair treatment of all students during the exam period.

<p>Loyola College is a Catholic Co-Educational School in the Ignatian tradition with an enrolment of 1440 students.</p><p>Applications are invited for the following <u>Casual </u>position:</p><p><strong>VCE Chief Supervisor</strong></p><p>The VCE Chief Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the smooth and compliant administration of all Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) external assessments within the school, ensuring adherence to VCAA guidelines, compliant examination conditions, and fair treatment of all students during the exam period. <br />The Chief Examiner acts as the key point of contact for VCE examinations within the school, managing logistics, supervising staff, and addressing any issues that may arise during the assessment process</p><p> </p><p>This is a casual position, with varying hours in accordance with published examination schedules and associated administrative duties annually.</p><p> </p><p>Prior examination supervision experience would be highly regarded however not essential. All successful candidates will be required to meet the following VCAA conditions:</p><p>That they are NOT:</p><ul><li>Related to, or associated with, any student required to sit the GAT or any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study.</li><li>Teaching or tutoring any student required to sit the GAT or any student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study. </li><li>Related to or associated with any person engaged in teaching, tutoring or coaching any students required to sit the GAT or any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4, or any school personnel engaged in organising or checking VCE external assessment materials. </li><li>Employed by the school in any other capacity, including as a teacher, casual relief teacher (CRT) or a member of the administration staff.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The VCE Chief Supervisor should demonstrate</strong></p><ul><li>Strong interpersonal / personal skills including excellent communication skills. </li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Discretion and confidentiality</li><li><p>Ability to remain calm under pressure.</p><p> </p></li></ul><p><strong>Specific Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>A valid Working with Children Check (Employee) </li><li>A current, satisfactory national criminal history check. </li><li>Completion of VCE Examination Conduct and Administration training for VCE external assessments before the GAT in June</li><li>Understanding VCAA protocols to ensure a fair and equitable experience of external assessment. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work through processes to a high level of detail. </li><li>First aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis certification desirable </li><li>Demonstrated experience working as a Chief Exam Supervisor within a school or tertiary environment would be advantageous.</li><li>Strong public speaker.</li></ul><p> </p><p>The Position Description and Application Form are available to download from the College website <a href="http://www.loyola.vic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">www.loyola.vic.edu.au</a> <br /> </p><p><strong>Applications processed on receipt.</strong></p><p>Applications to: Mrs Alison Leutchford, Principal</p><p>Email: <a href="mailto:principal&#64;loyola.vic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">principal&#64;loyola.vic.edu.au</a></p><p>Loyola College is committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of all children.</p>
