<p>We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as Finance Manager. This senior position within the College’s Finance and Administration structure plays a vital role in ensuring the financial viability of the College and the effective provision of resources to support our educational programs.</p>
<p><strong>Position Objectives:<br></strong><br>
The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and Infrastructure to oversee financial operations and management, with a focus on payroll and financial management responsibilities.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<br><br></strong>Finance:</p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable functions.</li>
<li>Manage payroll processes, including leave management and superannuation obligations.</li>
<li>Maintain aged debtors and lead debt collection processes.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with finance systems, policies, and legislative requirements.</li>
<li>Prepare and submit statutory reports, financial statements, and budget analysis.</li>
<li>Support the Director of Finance and Infrastructure in financial reporting to senior leadership and governing bodies.</li>
</ul>

<p>Operations:</p>
<ul>
<li>HR Management including interviews, staff reviews and allocation of tasks for finance staff.</li>
<li>Risk Management and Compliance, including Workers Compensation claims and Emergency Management</li>
<li>Property Maintenance and Infrastructure</li>
<li>Support enrolment processes and provide administrative assistance to teaching staff.</li>
<li>Represent the school at events as needed.</li>
</ul>

<p>Key Relationships:</p>
<ul>
<li>Internal: Reports to the Director of Finance and Infrastructure, oversees accounts and finance staff.</li>
<li>External: Engages with MACS, auditors, suppliers, students, and families.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Key Selection Criteria and Qualifications:</strong></p>
<p>Essential:</p>
<ul>
<li>Qualifications and experience in accounting/business management.</li>
<li>CPA/CA membership.</li>
<li>Proficiency in accounting standards, budgeting, and taxation issues.</li>
<li>Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and databases.</li>
<li>Strong initiative, problem-solving, and organisational skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Commitment to professional development and compliance checks.</li>
</ul>

<p>Desirable:</p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of education sector operations.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the CEMEA2022</li>
<li>Experience in Synergetic system.</li>
</ul>
