<p>St Mary’s Primary School, serving the regional areas of Lancefield and Romsey and is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS).</p><p>St Mary’s Primary School is seeking an experienced and highly organised Administratiion Officer to join our dynamic school community. The successful applicant will work as part of a team in managing the front office of our school. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school, providing essential administrative support to the Principal and staff while maintaining a welcoming and professional front office environment.</p><p>This job is advertised as a fixed-term contract position, however there is the possibility of the role becoming ongoing.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>The Administration Officer is the first point of contact for students, parents and visitors, playing a crucial role in communication and school operations.</p><p><strong>Position Details</strong></p><ul><li>Full time position, possibility of part time </li><li>Hours of work are 8.00 am to 4.06 pm.</li><li>Experience with platforms such as nForma, PassTab, Operoo, iNewsletter, Synergetic and/or eSIS would be beneficial. but not essential</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Core duties will include:</strong></p><ul><li>Upholding Child Safe Standards and ensuring compliance with policies.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all aspects of the role.</li><li>Managing reception duties, phone calls, and correspondence.</li><li>Providing administrative support, including student records management and processing purchase orders.</li><li>Assisting with financial tasks such as receipting, banking and credit card transactions..</li><li>Organising bookings for excursions and events.</li><li>Supporting enrolment processes and promotional activities.</li><li>Proofreading and publishing the fortnightly school newsletter.</li><li>Administering first aid and maintaining office and first aid supplies.</li><li>Maintaining personnel records and payroll systems for staff</li><li>Commitment to personal and team effectiveness </li></ul><p><strong>The successful candidate will have experience in office administration and possess the following skills and qualities:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent people skills</li><li>High attention to detail</li><li>Highly organised with excellent time management</li><li>Excellent communication skills</li><li>High level of computer skills, including experience using an electronic diary management system and a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Google suite applications is essential</li><li>Prompt and Reliable</li><li>First Aid certificate is preferred.</li><li>Previous experience in a similar administrative role</li><li>Discretion and confidentiality</li><li>Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.</li></ul><p><strong>Culture and Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>We provide a work environment that nurtures on-going growth and development</li><li>Religious formation to enhance Catholic Identity.</li></ul><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>St Mary’s promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children: therefore the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children</li><li>The successful applicant will be required to have or undergo both a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.</li><li>Salary for this position is based on experience in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) as varied from time to time.</li></ul><p>Application Procedure</p><p>Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the full-time, fixed-term position of School Administration Officer to commence on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 or earlier.
