Applications are now open for the position of School Nurse.

We are seeking suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic candidates to join our team.  This position is based at our Notre Dame Campus in Point Cook.

This is a full-time Category C position ranging between ESC2-1 to ESC3-6 based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will have seven weeks off during the year and reports directly to the Business Manager.  The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.15pm.

Emmanuel College is vastly increasing in student numbers. We are a two campus College, our St Paul’s single sex boys Campus located in Altona North and our co-educational campus located in Point Cook.

Salary: Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA). These are Fixed Term Full Time positions.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant current legislation, e.g., Nurses Act, Health and Privacy Acts, Mandatory Reporting, as to provide excellence in duty of care. 
  • Maintain competencies for effective nursing practice by regularly being involved in and having access to professional learning opportunities. 
  • Maintain regular networking with Catholic schools nursing programs, local community health services and other professional bodies. 
  • Maintain annual registration as a (registered) nurse as required.  
  • Maintain First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma training as required by legislation and MACS policies.  
  • Maintain Anaphylaxis Training as an assessor in accordance with required Policies.  

 Special Requirements:

  • The successful applicant will hold a valid employee Working with Children check and National Police Check.
