<p>Rouse Hill Anglican College (RHAC) is a highly regarded independent co-educational Christian school with over 1600 students from Pre-K to Year 12. The College is located in the Hills District in Sydney’s northwest and is committed to a professional, collaborative and supportive workplace for all employees. The College has modern facilities, is very well resourced and can be easily accessed by car or the Metro Northwest rail. </p><p>An exciting opportunity exists for an Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for managing staff absences and oversee school events.</p><p>Christians who are actively involved in a church are particularly encouraged to apply.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Employ casual relief staff to replace absent staff each school day.</li><li>Oversee the organisation and successful implementation of College events. </li><li>Perceive and respond to organisational issues that arise during the day e.g.<ul><li>A teacher goes home sick during the day and needs another teacher to cover classes.</li><li>Buses arriving late for an excursion.</li></ul></li><li>Work with the executive team and other stakeholders to create a school events calendar for the following year.</li><li>With the guidance and support of senior staff, assist with the construction of rosters and timetables that are needed to ensure that the school day runs smoothly and that events are of a high standard.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Key Attributes </strong></p><ul><li>Strong ICT skills. <ul><li>Preferred applicants are likely to have the skills to assist with the construction of a school timetable using a software package.</li></ul></li><li>Highly perceptive in ensuring that an event is run successfully.</li><li>Works well with others in busy and pressured situations.</li><li>Strong organisational skills.</li><li>Able to work independently and collaboratively with others.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Who can Apply?</strong></p><p>Both teachers and professionals with training and skills in other occupations are very welcome to apply.</p><p> </p><p><strong>What are the Employment Arrangements?</strong></p><p>On school days the appointee will need to start work by 6:30am to arrange casual staff to cover for absent staff. This work can be done at home. The Operations Coordinator will need to arrive on the school site at an agreed time to manage daily operational needs. Because a limited amount of work is likely to be necessary in the late afternoon/evening to arrange for absent staff the following day, the College will work with the successful applicant to provide flexible time in the afternoon. </p><p>The successful applicant will be supervised and supported by a senior staff member who will help to ensure that the appointee works reasonable hours.</p><p>RHAC welcomes applications from people who would prefer to only work during school terms, and equally from applicants who would like to work 48 weeks per year.</p><p>If a teacher is appointed to the position, s/he is likely to be given a teaching allocation. </p><p> </p><p><strong>The Contract</strong></p><p>The College employs staff under one of two multi-enterprise agreements – a teachers multi-enterprise agreement or a professional and other services (PAOS) agreement.
