FIXED 1 YEAR CONTRACT (MATERNITY LEAVE COVER) | COMMENCING 6 MAY 2025 UNTIL 25 MAY 2026

Catholic Education has a network of 18 schools in the Northern Territory - five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre and five remote schools and Early Learning Centres.

🔑 The Role:

The Educational Data Analyst (EDA) is accountable for the provision of high-level analysis and advice on all relevant data pertaining to Catholic Education NT to maximise educational experiences and outcomes for all students. The EDA provides advice and develops interventions to enhance access, analysis, visualisations, understanding and presentation of data in education decision-making that supports improvement and the development of education policy, practice and procedures.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

  • Work productively and collaboratively across CENT to inform policy on educational issues and to integrate the effective use of data from system to classroom levels.
  • Access a range of strategic educational data and provide analysis and reports as required.
  • Advise on a wide range of educational demographics, trends and educational measurement tools (NAPLAN, PAT etc)
  • Work collaboratively with school leadership to utilise multiple measures of student data to inform program and process improvement and develop whole school priorities and targets to improve learning outcomes for students.
  • Support school and system in effective collaboration and change management strategies to support school improvement.
  • Actively collaborate in the development of effective data access, organisation and visual representation of relevant educational data.
  • Lead and support implementation of system Data projects including CeD3 and Data Literacy.
  • Provide written summaries and reports with accompanying charts and graphs of educational data and statistics as required by CENT and the Teaching and Learning team.

🌱What we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in data analysis or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated capacity to select and support appropriate school improvement processes based on data analysis
  • Experience in evidence informed classroom practice
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in analysis of key national and NT education assessment tools
  • Demonstrated awareness of the social, economic and cultural diversity within the NT
  • Successful classroom teaching experience
  • Capacity for leading a team of professional specialist and educators
  • Willingness to travel and stay in remote locations as required to fulfill position obligations.
  • Accreditation in accordance with the NT Teacher Registration Board to teach
