Please Note: Applicants must hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and be eligible to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the curriculum using various teaching techniques and resources to engage students.
  • Encourage students' growth in interests, skills, and coordination through creative activities.
  • Lead class discussions and monitor student work.
  • Design, administer, and assess tests, projects, and assignments to evaluate student performance and maintain records.
  • Meet with students and parents to discuss academic progress and challenges, consulting with counselors and senior staff when necessary.
  • Maintain discipline within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and educational workshops.
  • Engage with parents, local community groups, and businesses.
  • Keep accurate records of student achievements and academic work.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, school events, and trips.
  • Supervise and mentor student teachers during their placements.

Skills and Experience

  • Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications.
  • A strong passion for teaching.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to align with and contribute to the school’s values and culture.
