Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd (CESL) is on a mission to enhance educational outcomes and student wellbeing across our vibrant Catholic school community. We’re looking for a dedicated, innovative, and skilled Student Wellbeing Officer to join our School Improvement and Safeguarding team in Wangaratta. This full-time, ongoing position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on student wellbeing and behaviour.

As a Student Wellbeing Officer:

In this crucial role, you'll work closely with school staff to implement evidence-based strategies and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) to ensure every student receives the care they need throughout their education journey. You'll play a key part in promoting positive learning spaces, developing system-wide policies, and enacting interventions at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with schools to create supportive learning environments
  • Develop and implement wellbeing and behaviour management strategies
  • Provide tailored interventions and support for students
  • Lead the rollout of a common wellbeing and behaviour curriculum
  • Support school-wide policies on student wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance monitoring

In Term 3 of 2024, CESL launched ‘Magnify Sandhurst’, a comprehensive whole-of-system improvement program. Magnify Sandhurst is a response to the CESL Strategic Plan. About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing student wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour strategies.
  • Strong understanding of educational policies and Duty of Care requirements.
  • A commitment to Catholic teachings and values, with a passion for fostering safe and supportive learning environments.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead initiatives across multiple schools.
