Sacred Heart Primary School is situated in Morwell, heart of the Latrobe Valley. It is Victoria’s energy centre and situated 150 kilometres east of Melbourne on the lands of the Gunaikurnai People, with a population of 15,000.

Period: Ongoing

Commencement Date: 22nd April 2025

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs,
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student progress in key learning areas,
  • Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes and consistent with the school’s strategic plan
  • Teaching the curriculum.
  • Model exemplary classroom practice in the school to engage in critical reflection of personal practice and to support staff to expand their capacity
  • Contribute to professional discussion about content, processes and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning
  • Work together to use student data to inform teaching

Essential Knowledge and Experience

  • VIT registration or able to put in for PTT
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is an advantage.
  • Exemplary teaching practice with proven classroom management practice
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current educational needs and achievement standards
  • Demonstrated ability to address students' varying intellectual, emotional, and physical abilities in teaching practice and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team building and mentoring skills.
