St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School is located in Tarneit and opened in 2015. We belong to the Parish of St Andrew’s, Werribee.

We are currently seeking a teacher who is able to fill a Maternity Leave replacement position. The position is currently to continue class programs in the event of staff absences, however the successful applicant must be willing to share or oversee a class in the event of further extended leave arising.

The position can range from 3 days to 5 days a week by negotiation with the applicant and can commence at anytime during Term 1, 2025. Should prospective applicants require further details regarding the role, please contact the principal by email for clarification.

• The ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to be flexible

• The ability to differentiate their teaching and make adjustments according to student needs
• An understanding of the curriculum and the skills of an effective teacher
• Strong classroom management and a talent for promoting positive student behaviour.

Special Requirements

• VIT Registration
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a willingness to undertake this into the future.
