St Christopher's is seeking a dynamic and skilled Mathematics Leader with a passion for working alongside classroom teachers to improve numeracy outcomes for all students. The Mathematics Leader is an integral member of the Leadership Team and Wellbeing Team and has a key role in the implementation of the school’s Learning and Teaching and Wellbeing policies and procedures.

St Christopher’s Primary School is seeking an Mathematics Leader to assist in our ongoing pursuit of excellence and “not letting any student slip through the cracks”.

The position will be 0.8 beginning as soon as possible but not later than April 22, 2025. The days will be Monday to Thursday and will be a POL 3.

This position is best suited to a leader who is passionate, organised and motivated, with a desire to make a difference. The right candidate will work well independently and collaboratively in teams.

The successful candidate will possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, prioritisation and organisational skills including the ability to make decisions and meet deadlines.

Skills and Proven Work Abilities

  • A professional working knowledge of the MACS Vision for Instruction and the Mathematics curriculum
  • The ability to dialogue with staff in a collegial manner to achieve improved learning outcomes for students
  • The ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders such as parents and MACS to achieve the best outcomes for students
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to work and communicate within a team environment
  • Proven organisational skills, flexibility and a capacity to show initiative in working independently and within a team.
