The Role

We are seeking dedicated Cleaners to ensure that the College buildings are maintained in a neat, tidy, safe, and hygienic condition. This role also involves contributing to the beautification and enhancement of the College grounds, ensuring a safe and visually appealing environment.

The successful applicant will demonstrate high standards of professionalism, aligning with the College’s Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic goals, as well as meeting quality assurance standards. Additionally, modelling the 4C’s—Courtesy, Consideration, Cooperation, and Common Sense—in all interactions with students and community members.

About you

You are open, collaborative and positive in all stakeholder and team relationships with the ability to work with the wider facilities and maintenance team to perform and achieve cleaning tasks as required safely and efficiently. 

With a commitment to the best outcomes for the College you will demonstrate best practice in cleaning and hygiene practices. 

You will be able to demonstrate: 

• Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, staffrooms, toilets, showers and office areas within the College.
• Removal and disposal of rubbish along with replenishment of stock, stock control and ordering.
• Report any damage, hazards or other safety concerns within the College.
• Reporting any maintenance issues as observed during work times.
• Completing all required training and re-training as directed.
• Operating cleaning equipment in line with training and safe work practices.
• Adhere to all required hygienic standards.
• At all times wear all required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work effectively without supervision, either individually or in a team environment.
• Apply good interpersonal and communication skills during interactions with others.
• Manage priorities and tasks effectively by using highly developed time management and organising skills.
• Hold or be willing to apply for a Blue Card (Working with Children)
