Cranbrook School is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications team. This is a full-time position based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.

<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p><p>The Communications Coordinator will support the Communications Manager in the delivery of communications and marketing activity, messaging and collateral across a broad range of channels, to different audiences across the School. The Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the school&#39;s public image and ensuring effective communication within the school community and with external stakeholders.</p><p>Duties include:</p><ul><li>Preparing and writing magazine, media and website articles</li><li>Editing content for multiple platforms</li><li>Proofing printed and digital copy</li><li>Creating a series of good news stories about the School’s successes to share with media as required and in advertorials</li><li>Writing and supporting the news coverage across the School’s communications channels: social media, website, newsletters, parent, staff and student portal</li><li>Reviewing written material for brand and writing guidelines consistency and repurposing for different platforms where required</li><li>Coordinating enquiries from journalists and other media contacts via telephone calls, email and written correspondence </li><li>Managing the media monitoring agency service and responsibility for curating and sending the daily clips service internally</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>You are an enthusiastic, motivated communications professional with experience in creating compelling written content for use across digital and print. With a professional demeanour, and exceptional interpersonal skills, you will have a demonstrated customer service-based approach in all interactions, and the ability to think clearly and remain calm under pressure. You have a good sense of humour and thrive in a high-energy work environment.</p><p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p><ul><li>At least five years’ experience in a similar role either in-house or agency</li><li>Demonstrated experience in creating compelling written content for use across digital and print</li><li>Exceptional oral and written communication skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Exceptional relationship skills with the ability to work inclusively and respectfully with a broad range of people</li><li>High level organisational and time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure</li><li>A passion for education and community building</li><li>A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children </li><li>A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children. </li></ul><p>Tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications will be highly regarded.</p><p><strong>CLOSING DATE: 2 February 2025</strong></p><p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p><p>Applications should include a resume and a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and reasons for your interest in the position.
