We are looking for a full-time Program Director – Teaching & Learning, to join our team at St Joseph’s North Melbourne. Reporting to the Campus Principal, this position is accountable for the provision of best practice teaching and learning strategies across the campus.
<p><strong>Program Director – Teaching & Learning </strong></p><p>In 2025, the newly named Saints College *- North Melbourne Campus, currently St Joseph’s School, is seeking an experienced Program Director to join their school community. </p><p>Since 2012, we have led the way in radically inclusive education, supporting students with diverse challenges. We are an inclusive school for 12–25-year-olds seeking an alternative to mainstream education. Our environment celebrates all abilities and backgrounds, providing transformative learning experiences catering to individual needs. </p><p>We operate multiple campuses located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED. In 2025, we will expand our offerings with the opening of three new campuses in Fitzroy North, Sunshine, and Bungaree, as part of our growth strategy to establish additional campuses in the future. </p><p>The young people we serve often face significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal, or familial challenges, which demand unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation by Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices. </p><p> <strong>The Role:</strong> </p><p>It is an exciting time to join St Joseph’s as we are experiencing a period of substantial growth. </p><p>We are looking for a full-time Program Director – Teaching & Learning, to join our team at St Joseph’s North Melbourne. Reporting to the Campus Principal, this position is accountable for the provision of best practice teaching and learning strategies across the campus. This includes provision of elective subjects and extracurricular student engagement activities that are delivered in accordance with relevant external and internal standards. </p><p>You will be employed as an ongoing Teacher, with a Position of Leadership (POL) allowance for a 5-year fixed term period, commencing in Term 1 2025, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022. </p><p> <strong>You will need:</strong> </p><ul><li>Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; <strong>Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty</strong>. </li><li>Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. </li><li>3 years’ experience in a similar role. </li><li>Comprehensive understanding of the Victorian Curriculum, along with the requirements for the Victorian Certificate of Education, Vocational Major (VCE VM), and the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC). </li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience in staff support, development and professional supervision in education within collaborative multidisciplinary team settings. </li><li>The ability to inspire and engage young people. </li></ul><p>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People are encouraged to apply, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity. </p><p> <strong>To Apply:</strong> </p><p>Please visit our website, learn about our work, and review the position information in Employment Opportunities at <a href="http://www.stjosephs.vic.edu.au/careers" rel="nofollow"><u>www.stjosephs.vic.edu.au/careers</u></a>.
