The ICT Managers drive the delivery of ICT services and programs that reflect contemporary best practice and achieve optimal outcomes for Frensham Schools’ strategic, operational and business requirements. They develop, communicate and implement the ICT strategy and its supporting plans for the Schools, working closely with decision-makers in other departments.

They are taught to value kindness, resilience, empathy and compassion, and to carry these attributes with them for life, alongside the School’s core values.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>The ICT Managers drive the delivery of ICT services and programs that reflect contemporary best practice and achieve optimal outcomes for Frensham Schools’ strategic, operational and business requirements. They develop, communicate and implement the ICT strategy and its supporting plans for the Schools, working closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support technology solutions.</p><p>As a team, the ICT Managers oversee all ICT operations and infrastructure within the School, ensuring that an appropriate technical support framework is in place, including the management and delivery of services. The team’s key objective is that all aspects of the Frensham Schools infrastructure operates as required to ensure that the productivity of all staff, students, and third parties is optimised.</p><p>The ICT Managers will also oversee the implementation of projects that further improve and add value to the information and communications technologies, software and infrastructure of Frensham Schools.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>ICT Management</strong></p><ul><li>Assist the Executive team in the development of a strategy which enables the most effective use of technology and its applications, as learning enhancers</li><li>Work to enhance the role of technology in support of teaching and learning practices, business operations and information access</li><li>Develop and maintain an ICT Strategy that supports the Schools’ strategic priorities and ensure that the technology and software used throughout Frensham Schools is compatible, cost-effective and conducive to achieving the Schools’ strategic goals</li><li>Provide strategic advice to the Head on all matters related to ICT and development for the advancement of Frensham Schools</li><li>Develop and seek approval for an annual ICT plan and operating budget for ICT. Oversee the implementation of projects ensuring that financial targets are met, and timelines adhered to</li><li>Provide input into the implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to ICT systems and their usage</li><li>Take responsibility for researching and evaluating new technologies and software solutions, and liaise with the Executive team to source ICT solutions that support curriculum objectives</li><li>Attend and participate in staff meetings and related activities, undertaking and leading professional development to maintain technical currency</li><li>Provide professional advice and technical support to staff and students and others in the School community as required</li><li>Managing AV equipment at Frensham Schools meetings and functions.</li></ul><p><strong>Service</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and implement an effective model of service for the provision of Information Communication and Technology services, through effective communication with all members of the community</li><li>Develop and maintain a positive and customer-focused outlook</li><li>Identify a set of key deliverables and the standards of delivery to be achieved in terms of ICT service</li><li>Negotiate service level agreements with both internal and external vendors and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met</li></ul><p><strong>Security</strong></p><ul><li>Manage Network access to prevent unauthorised entry</li><li>Plan Network security, including virus protection and backup solutions</li><li>Manage multiple school databases, to include security, data safety and integrity, and business continuity</li></ul><p><strong>ICT Systems</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the School’s technology development, and liaise with the Head and the Director of Operations to ensure that the implementation of technology is in line with the School’s Strategic Priorities, ICT Strategy and the ICT Budget</li><li>Manage the School’s internet activities</li><li>Liaise with external vendors and School staff to ensure the technology systems meet the Schools’ communication requirements</li><li>Manage the implementation of Frensham Schools learning devices and coordinate any required support structures</li><li>Manage the roll-out of all ICT equipment</li><li>Manage all technology peripheral devices within the school</li></ul><p><strong>ICT Applications</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the acquisition and implementation of Educational and Business Software Applications</li><li>Work with other staff to document and enhance business processes</li><li>Evaluate and advise on software selection, ensuring that selected software fits within the ICT strategy and plan. Ensure all software works successfully with current infrastructure, that it meets identified needs, and supports the requirements of Frensham Schools</li><li>Manage Licensing arrangements with external vendors</li><li>Supervise Copyright and ensure that all software is used within the limitations of the organised licensing arrangements</li></ul><p><i>All staff at Frensham Schools take an active role in ensuring our Child Protection programs, policies and processes are at the forefront of all that we do. A Working with Children Check Clearance Number must be provided to the School prior to confirmation of the appointment.</i></p><p><i>The successful applicant will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or other diseases (as advised by the School) and provide the School with evidence it considers satisfactory regarding vaccination. Being fully vaccinated may include additional doses and booster injections.</i></p>
