<p><strong>ST VINCENT’S COLLEGE</strong></p><p><strong>Science Teacher - Physics</strong></p><p><strong>Position to start Term 1 2025 - 28/01/2025 or as soon as reasonably practicable</strong></p><p><strong>Closing Date for Applications: 24/01/2025</strong></p><p>St Vincent’s College is seeking to appoint a committed, professional and enthusiastic teacher qualified to teach Science subjects across Stages 4-6. Experience or interest in teaching Physics would be an advantage. This is a permanent full-time role.</p><p>The successful applicant will be an innovative Science teacher. They will demonstrate excellence in classroom teaching of students across a range of ability levels and the ability to work cooperatively with a committed and enthusiastic department. They will have a desire to engage in pedagogical innovation and in integrating evidence based practices in the classroom. Strong communication skills and a commitment to growth focused learning for young women is necessary. </p><p><strong>Key position criteria</strong></p><p>·     Formal teaching qualifications in Science</p><p>·     Familiarity with NSW Science syllabus, able to successfully implement the requirements to Year 12 level.</p><p>·     Capacity to develop and implement engaging learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students, including high potential learners</p><p>·     A commitment to promoting a culture of growth and achievement in the classroom by modelling a genuine passion for learning.</p><p>·     Collaborative teaching and work practices. Strong communication skills, effective record keeping and ability to manage workflow and demands.</p><p>·     An ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth.</p><p>·     A current Working with Children Check, be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare, and well-being of young people.</p>
