Responsible to the Science Coordinator, the Laboratory Assistant maintains operational systems and oversees the effective day-to-day running of Science resources. The position is responsible for providing a safe teaching and learning environment and ensures that all practicals and experiments are prepared for each class, there are adequate chemicals and equipment required and administrative tasks are completed.<br><br>To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;</p><ul><li>capacity to safely and efficiently prepare Science practicals and experiments</li><li>ability to use RiskAssess</li><li>ability to use Chemwatch or willingness to learn</li><li>sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements including the safe management, storage, handling and labelling of hazardous material</li><li>capacity to work effectively with students and staff, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>support for the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li><li>support tor the College's educational initiatives and endorse innovation as outlined in our Strategic Plan.</li></ul><p><strong>You will have attained:</strong></p><ul><li>suitable qualifications in Science or a related discipline.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong><br><br>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
