In collaboration with staff and students, the Kitchen Specialist plans weekly menus, shops and oversees the Food Program. The Kitchen Specialist works with small groups of adolescent students in the kitchen to provide the adolescent community with interesting, balanced, nutritious food for lunch one day per week, catering for approximately 35 people.
<p>The Kitchen Specialist provides a quality program for adolescent students based upon Montessori principles.The Food Program aims to introduce adolescents to the wonderful world of good food by means of maintaining a productive food garden and working in an industrious kitchen producing balanced, nutritious food to feed the adolescent community on Fridays.  The Food Program is an integral part of the school curriculum and provides real and relevant work using an interdisciplinary approach.</p><p>For further information a job and person specification can be accessed at the school&#39;s website: <a href="https://www.montessori.sa.edu.au/employment" rel="nofollow">https://www.montessori.sa.edu.au/employment</a> </p>
