St Francis Catholic College is a K-12 school located at Edmondson Park. In 2025, its 9th year, we will have over 1580 students.

<p><strong>Location:</strong> St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park</p><p>St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population nearing 1580 students in 2025. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis has finalised its new, modern 7th Stage of building development and offers state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilities.</p><p>A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2025 (start date negotiable). The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals in the Diverse Learning faculty.</p><p>The role of Middle Leader 2 exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the College, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.</p><p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p><p>The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Has a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li><li>Demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning.</li><li>Builds a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.</li><li>Displays an ability to lead learning and foster innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment.</li><li>Has a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs.</li></ul><p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA:</p><ul><li>An understanding of contemporary issues that relate to the learning needs of students, and skills in the collection and management of data around student learning and work collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning (K-6).</li><li>The ability to co-ordinate and facilitate collaborative meetings with parents, carers, teachers and students to develop individual Personalised Plans (PPs).&nbsp; Ideally the successful candidate will have had experience with the PP Tool.</li></ul><p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong organisational skills.</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching courses in Diverse Learning and Gifted Education.</li><li>Level C Accreditation aligned in accordance with to ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong’ &nbsp;policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.</li><li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as a child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p><p>POSITION APPLICATION</p><p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Closing date: 15 January 2025 at 3pm</strong></p>
