<p>Salesian College Sunbury is an integral part of the faith community of Sunbury and is part of the St Anne’s Parish. Salesian College in an independent Catholic Secondary college, governed by Salesian College Sunbury ACN 645 098 602 (College Company).</p><p>We are currently seeking a full time -Teacher in Religious Education, to commence in Term 1, 2025.</p><p>Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.</p><p>Salary: $80-110,000 - Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (<i>CEMEA</i>)</p><p>Job description:</p><ul><li>Establish clear and achievable learning intentions, activities, and success criteria for students.</li><li>Ensure that criteria sheets/rubrics/checklists are given out with the assessment task so that students have a clear understanding of all requirements. </li><li>Monitor student engagement in learning and maintain records of their learning progress.</li><li>Provide feedback to students and their parents/guardians and Homegroup Leader to inform further planning of teaching and learning.</li><li>Undertake data analysis to inform practice.</li><li>Provide a learning environment that engages and challenges students and encourages them to take responsibility for their own learning.</li><li>Use and manage the materials, resources, and physical space of their classroom to create a stimulating and safe environment for learning.</li><li>Establish and maintain clear and consistent expectations for students as learners and for their behaviour in the classroom.</li><li>Proactively monitor and support student wellbeing.</li><li>Be mindful, informed, and respectful of the teachings of the Catholic Church when presenting content knowledge.   </li></ul><p>Skills/Experience required:</p><ul><li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li><li>A strong commitment to Catholic education.</li><li>An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.</li><li>An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.</li><li>An eagerness to learn.</li><li>An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.</li></ul><p>Special Requirements:</p><ul><li>Salesian College Sunbury promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</li><li>The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li><li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.</li><li>Contact details of two referees. </li></ul><p> </p><p>Please email your resume and cover letter to hr&#64;scr.vic.edu.au</p><p>Note: Salesian College Sunbury is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
