<p><strong>Location:</strong> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p>The Director of Schools Diocese of Wollongong, invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this position with Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW). This is a temporary part time (35 hours per fortnight) whilst the substantive role holder takes a period of parental leave. This role involves:</p><ul><li>Demonstrating an understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic Education. </li><li>Undertaking a range of administrative activities to provide effective support to the policy function, enabling these functions to operate efficiently.</li><li>Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders of varying levels of seniority, within the CEO, CEDoW schools, and external stakeholders.</li><li>Managing and prioritising requests (including inboxes) for policy assistance and requests.</li><li>Contributing to the preparation of draft correspondence, papers, and minutes.</li><li>Updating and collating documentation and records regarding policy development and other relevant issues.</li></ul><p><strong>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:</strong></p><ul><li>A commitment to supporting the mission and purpose of Catholic education. </li><li>Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate in plain English and maintain accurate and timely administrative records, advice records and file notes. </li><li>Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage calendars and inboxes. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to draft correspondence, prepare and proof-read documents and take in amendments with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to manage files, and maintain databases and key contact information. </li><li>Ability to liaise with a breadth of relevant contacts within services areas and schools, and external stakeholders as required, with a high degree of professionalism.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, and show autonomy and initiative.</li><li>Knowledge of or experience in providing support within a legal and/or policy environment (desirable).</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications (or working towards) and/or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience. </li><li>Advanced Microsoft Office skills.</li><li>Capacity to use enterprise resource planning applications and records management systems with a high degree of competency.</li></ul><p>Expressions of interest are welcome from university students seeking an opportunity to obtain practical work experience and develop their skills in a large enterprise in which flexible work arrangements will be considered.</p><p><strong>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</strong></p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p><strong>POSITION APPLICATION</strong></p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application addressing the criteria (maximum 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p><p>To confidentially discuss your application contact Rebecca Wakeling, Senior Policy Advisor on 02 4250 9038 prior to COB on 20 December 2024.</p><p>To submit your Application please select the “Apply now” button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p><p><strong>Closing date: 10 January 2025 at 11:55pm</strong></p><p> </p>
