Our school is located on the picturesque northwest coast of Tasmania, where the Josephite spirit and charism are actioned through our school values of ‘Compassion, Gratitude, Honesty, Sustainability, and Inclusion.’ We are privileged to be a part of the Sacred Heart community and the Mersey Leven Parish and will strive to make a difference so that students and staff can flourish in a faith-based education.</p><p>Sacred Heart Catholic School is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education for the following new position to be based at Ulverstone.</p><p><strong>Finance Officer&nbsp;</strong><br><strong>Ongoing – 37.5 hrs per week&nbsp;</strong><br><strong>Commencing 28 January 2025</strong></p><p>This ongoing position will work under general supervision of the Principal and will be required to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Effectiveness in financial and accounting functions (including accounts payable, accounts receivable and end of month procedures)</li><li>Experience in preparing and analysis of budget and monthly financial reports</li><li>Ability to follow specified policies, procedures and internal control and audit processes</li><li>Experience in maintaining personnel records and payroll system for staff</li><li>Proficiency in the use of computerised processing and commercial finance systems</li><li>Strong time management and organisational abilities in an office environment</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively within a wider team environment</li><li>Commitment to personal and team effectiveness</li></ul><p>Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.</p><p>Catholic Education Tasmania is committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them.
