<p><strong>Enrolments Officer</strong><br /><i>Part-Time position – Minimum 3 days</i></p><p>Lorien Novalis Steiner School is situated in Dural, the Hills District of Sydney, about 45 minutes northwest of the city, nestled in lush bushlands and landscaped gardens. The school has been offering a rich and creative Steiner learning program for over 50 years and has built a strong reputation for the diverse and engaging education that it provides.</p><p><br /><strong>THE POSITION</strong><br />Lorien Novalis School is seeking someone with school administration and enrolment experience who will be responsible for the management and administration of student enrolment applications and admission processes.</p><p>The position is directly accountable to the Head of School, requiring:</p><ul><li>a high level of responsibility, confidentiality and discretion,</li><li>a capacity to work collaboratively as part of the School staff,</li><li>an ability to exercise initiative, judgment and problem solving skills within the framework of the School’s culture,</li><li>to represent the school, its ethos and values to an enquiring public,</li><li>knowledge of Steiner Education and its implementation at Lorien Novalis School</li><li>a current WWCC, and </li><li>Current First Aid training (or willingness to obtain)</li></ul><p><i><strong>Responsibilities and Duties</strong></i></p><ul><li>Administer and co-ordinate the enrolment process from first inquiry through to enrolment and commencement at the school for Playgroup through to Class 12,</li><li>Respond to all enrolment enquiries for new enrolments to Lorien Novalis School,</li><li>Process and manage enrolment applications, including data entry and managing waitlists,</li><li>Liaise with teachers, organise interviews and visit days for students where required,</li><li>Manage new and/withdrawal students and communicate details to relevant staff throughout the school year,</li><li>Disseminate information for prospective parents including fees and all other requirements for the commencement of the school,</li><li>Be responsible for the accuracy of the student database,</li><li>Meet with HoS regularly and report on enrolment activity,</li><li>Attend and contribute on a weekly basis the Administration Team Meeting</li><li>To communicate regularly with the School’s Marketing Manager</li><li>Make available all enrolment projections and trends monthly to the Head of School and the Finance Manager prior to Board meetings,</li><li>Information Days and School Tours<ul><li>Organise and represent the School at School Information Days and School Tours for prospective parents,</li><li>Assist with the preparation and coordination of exhibitions, fairs and school promotional events.</li></ul></li><li>Attending to Statutory Requirements<ul><li>In consultation with administration team, collect all family data required by the Federal Government on admission and refer to the Finance Manager</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to think clearly and strategically, to make sound judgments and routinely communicate with the School administrative team,</li><li>Demonstrate working knowledge of school administration and processes (knowledge of the independent school sector would be advantageous),</li><li>Confident communication skills, both oral and written,</li><li>High level organisation of files (electronic and hard copy),</li><li>Experience in designing and managing organisational communication,</li><li>Employ data analysis to make informed decisions,</li><li>Demonstrable data base management experience,</li><li>Strong administrative skills with a focus on timely completion and accuracy, and</li><li>Competent IT skills.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES </strong></p><ul><li>Be honest and trustworthy,</li><li>Be respectful,</li><li>Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity,</li><li>Be flexible,</li><li>Demonstrate sound work ethics,</li><li>Enjoy people, and children in particular, and</li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>SALARY</strong><br />Salaries are determined by the school via The Independent School’s MEA. </p><p><br /><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA </strong></p><ul><li>Meeting the qualification and experience requirements,</li><li>Commitment to the ethos and values of the school, and</li><li>Commitment to on-going learning and personal development</li></ul><p><br /><strong>COMMENCEMENT</strong><br />Term 1 2025 (possible to consider earlier start for the right candidate)</p><p><br /><strong>CLOSING DATE</strong><br />10th February 2025</p><p><br /><strong>ENQUIRIES</strong></p><p>Please contact us if you have any further queries, and applications should be emailed in one PDF that includes your resume, three referees. </p><p>Submit your application to: Dr Konrad Korobacz (Principal) <a href="mailto:konradk@lorien.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">konradk@lorien.nsw.edu.au</a></p>
