Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College is looking for an Inclusion Support Coordinator for an immediate start or a start in term 4. Applications will be reviewed as received.

<p>Wadeye is a large remote Aboriginal community situated approximately 400km south-west of Darwin with a population of around 3000 people on Kardu Diminin land. The vast majority of local Aboriginal people speak Murrinhptha as a first language. There are over 20 clans from the surrounding Thamarrurr region residing in Wadeye and attending the school. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College operates a Family as First Teachers (FaFT) program, preschool, primary and secondary school.</p><p><strong>College requirements</strong></p><ul><li> Support the Catholic Ethos of the College.</li><li> Support the Vision and Mission statement of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College.</li><li>Support the Northern Territory Catholic Education Vision and Mission Statement.</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Accountabilities</strong></p><ul><li>To respect and model Gospel values in all interactions with people in day-to-day life.</li><li>To genuinely support each student within our care wherever possible, celebrating their diversity and catering for individual differences as required.</li><li>To be active, collaborative, authentic, professional, and relational members of the College community.</li><li>To support culture that empowers students to think critically, discern wisely and value the search for truth.</li><li>To openly and honestly provide support to colleagues through collaboration, public support of other colleagues, and maintaining the dignity of all people within our school community. </li><li>To enter into dialogue openly and honestly with the principal and leadership team with relevant issues where necessary and appropriate.</li><li>To recognize and support parents as the first and foremost educators of their children.</li><li>To actively engage and encourage parents to be involved in their child’s education through a variety of opportunities.</li><li>To create an atmosphere in which parents feel comfortable to approach the teacher on matters relating to their child. </li><li>To display passion, commitment, professionalism, integrity, knowledge and expertise.</li><li>To demonstrate knowledge of best practice and innovative pedagogy. </li><li>To demonstrate forward thinking and openness to change. </li><li>To work in a professional manner assuming responsibility for timetabled and scheduled work, deadlines, and following College policies and procedures. </li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>To support all students with Disabilities.</li><li>To support all staff with students with Disabilities and creating Education Adjustment Plans.</li><li>To lead a team of staff in Inclusion Support including, 1 x ISA, 2x School Nurse, 1 x School Councillor, 1 x Inclusion Support teacher, 1 x administration staff.</li><li>Train all staff in the program INSPIRE.</li><li>Liaise with outside agencies and support their visits to the school.</li><li>Organise and lead whole staff meetings/within the Inclusion Support area.</li><li>Make referrals for students that need outside supports, such as NDIS, CAHT, Catholic Education Inclusion Services, Paediatrician ect.</li><li>To attend the Primary and Secondary Wellbeing meetings every fortnight.</li><li>To attend the Inclusion Support Forum twice a year.</li><li>Keep up to date and meet all dead lines for all administration duties including termly funding requests, NCCD data collection such as curriculum evidence of goals, current EAPs and Parental collaboration evidence.</li><li>To Liaise with Catholic Education Inclusion Team and Advisor.</li><li>Make sure JUNO sound amplification systems are working correctly in all classes and monitor.</li><li>Reflect upon leadership performance and continually engage in the process of professional learning.</li></ul><p> </p>
