Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding teacher to join our dynamic Junior School teaching team based at our Junior School campus in Rose Bay.

<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong></p><p>This is a permanent full-time position.  As the Art Teacher you will be responsible for teaching art to Junior School students and as an Educational Development Teacher you will develop differentiated teaching and learning programs for diverse learners.</p><p>Teachers at Cranbrook take an active and enthusiastic part in the full life of the School, including involvement in the School’s co-curricular program requiring work outside normal teaching hours.</p><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>You are a progressive, globally minded, enthusiastic and dedicated educator, with the ability to inspire students in their love of learning and in the pursuit of excellence. </p><p>Capable of working collaboratively within a team to plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning programmes, and possessing an exemplary understanding of best practice, you sustain a deep commitment to implement rigorous, highly differentiated programmes in Junior School settings. </p><p>You are an excellent communicator, creative, and able to work well with students, parents and other teachers. You are committed to continual professional development and reflection, and have a genuine interest in the growth of young people.</p><p><strong>SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p><ul><li>Tertiary qualifications in primary education</li><li>NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales</li><li>A minimum of five years’ teaching experience in a primary school context</li><li>A proven passion for the arts demonstrated through teaching experience in a primary school context</li><li>Demonstrated experience in a primary school context of constructing differentiated teaching and learning programs for diverse learners</li><li>Experience teaching the IB Primary Years Programme, and in effective integration of ICT to deliver meaningful pedagogy</li><li>Sound knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and current teaching and learning theory and practice</li><li>Highly organised, detail-focused, resourceful and with the ability to work under pressure, in order to meet deadlines</li><li>Able to communicate and collaborate with people at all levels, with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of age groups</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in using evidence-based practices to effectively inform teaching practice</li><li>A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident</li><li>Current First Aid and CPR qualifications </li><li>A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children </li><li>A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.</li></ul><p><strong>CLOSING DATE: 5 January 2025</strong></p><p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p><p>Applications should include a resume and a cover letter addressing the selection criteria and reasons for your interest in the position.
