<p dir="ltr"><strong>About You</strong> <br /> <br /><strong>Brigidine College Randwick</strong> is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Science Laboratory Assistant who is passionate about science to support our science faculty at the school. Responsible to the Head of Science Department, the Science Laboratory Assistant maintains adequate operational systems and oversees the effective day-to-day running of science resources. The position is responsible for providing a safe teaching and learning environment and ensures that all practicals and experiments are prepared for each class, there are adequate chemicals and equipment required and administrative tasks are completed.<br /> <br />To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;</p>
<ul>
<li>the capacity to safely and effectively prepare science practicals and experiments</li>
<li>the ability to use RiskAssess and be able to accurately assess risk assessments</li>
<li>the ability to use Chemwatch or be willing to learn</li>
<li>a sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements including the safe management, storage, handling and labelling of hazardous material</li>
<li>the capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and at times autonomously</li>
<li>a willingness to undergo any relevant training appropriate for the role</li>
<li>commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic School environment.</li>
