<p>St Paul's Primary School, Gateshead&nbsp;is seeking a&nbsp;Permanent Part Time (0.7FTE) Teacher Librarian to join the team in January 2025.<br><br>St Paul’s Primary School, Gateshead, is a Catholic systemic school in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.<br>At St Paul's, we aim to foster a love of learning in each child by providing a variety of learning activities and opportunities for students to fulfil their potential in all areas of school life.<br>We provide contemporary future thinking education for children from Redhead, Dudley, Whitebridge, Charlestown East, Mount Hutton and Gateshead.<br><br><br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5505/position_description_-_cso_-_teacher_librarian_-_primary.pdf"><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></a><br><br>The role of the Teacher Librarian is to<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Provide engaging learning experiences for students<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Manage information and resources<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Support and drive contemporary teaching and learning ensuring that learning in the library is contemporary, inquiry based, rich in thinking and technology<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Work in collaboration with the school’s leadership team and with the CSO Digital Innovation and Learning team to act as a catalyst for change and build teacher capacity to improve student outcomes<br>&nbsp;</li><li>through the use of resource management time:<br>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>to manage the library, facilitate and develop the library space and resources, both physical and digital, supported by the School Officer/Library Assistant<br>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>to collaborate with classroom teachers in developing contemporary teaching to ensure that curriculum is delivered more effectively for the benefit of students<br>&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li><br><br>The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes.&nbsp; The teacher will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</li></ul>
