We are a Catholic Coeducational Secondary College with two campuses, set on approximately 20 hectares of beautiful gardens and playing fields. MacKillop is an innovative learning community offering contemporary facilities, a vibrant curriculum and supportive wellbeing programs that are respectful and responsive to the individual needs of approximately 1,730 students from Years 7-12.

<p>We are looking to build a small team of Instructional Coaches to work collaboratively with Learning Leaders and Teachers to enhance their teaching practice and classroom management to improve student outcomes. As part of the Colleges commitment to professional development, this role will drive a structured program of coaching conversations and skills development specifically for teachers. This role will mentor Teachers to facilitate overall improvement in classroom instruction and assist with their understanding, interpretation and application of current evidence-based learning and teaching practice.</p><p>To enable the College to achieve its learning and teaching improvement objectives, the Instructional Coach will collaborate with teachers to clearly define skill development goals using student data and classroom observations to expand, refine and achieve consistency of teaching practice across the college.</p><p><strong>The successful applicant will commence Term 1, 2025 as a permanent Teacher, with a Position of Leadership (POL 4 &#43; 550 minutes of release time per cycle) allocated until January 2027.</strong></p><p><strong>Our ideal Candidate will have</strong><br />• a demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission<br />• a strong ability to work with individuals and groups to improve teaching practices<br />• demonstrated ability to coach and lead staff to meet the curriculum and pedagogical needs of students<br />• an ability to lead the planning and implementation of high impact teaching strategies<br />• strong understanding on how to interpret and use data to inform teaching</p><p><strong>Application</strong><br />To apply for this role please visit <a href="https://www.mackillop.vic.edu.au/information/employment/" rel="nofollow">https://www.mackillop.vic.edu.au/information/employment/</a> and obtain an application form and position description.
