We are currently seeking TWO passionate Parent Engagement Coordinators to join the team!
<p>With students at the centre of everything we do, our purpose is to inspire hearts and minds to know Christ and grow in faith. We encourage students to use their talents to be the best they can be. In order to help support this vision, we are looking for <strong>TWO</strong> inspiring and faith-led <strong>Parent Engagement Coordinators (PEC)</strong>. </p><p>The PEC role has been developed in direct response to community feedback and aligned with the towards 2025 strategy to strengthen family, school and diocesan relationships. This process was undertaken in consultation with key stakeholders; CSBB leaders, principals, parents, clergy, Catholic care and the chancery. This part time position will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a welcoming, respectful community, while strengthening relationships between school, parents/families and the wider catholic community. The PEC must be adaptable, creative and able to customise their work to meet the diverse needs of the community and respond to parent feedback. </p><p>The PEC will primarily work in partnership with a range of stakeholders: the principal, parents/carers/families, school counsellor, Catholic Care, Parish priest and the Religious Education Coordinator/Youth Minister. This position will work in two focus areas; supporting Family Wellbeing to promote learning & engaging all families in the Catholic school community. </p><p>If you are someone passionate about strengthening family, school, parish, and Diocesan relationships this might be the right opportunity for you, providing a potential pathway to other leadership positions. </p><p>This is a <strong>permanent, part-time (0.3 FTE)</strong> role (which may be carried out within or in addition to your existing role). </p><p>Reporting to the Principal (with guidance from the Parish Priest), the PEC will be expected to work 0.3 FTE across the school and the parish. During this engagement, the successful candidate will work one full day at the school and half day across the school and the Parish as required each week. The successful candidate will be required to work during the school holidays.</p><p><strong>We are currently taking applications for the following school on the Northern Beaches:</strong></p><ol><li><i>St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School, Balgowlah</i></li><li><i>St Bernard's Catholic Primary School, Berowra Heights</i></li></ol><p><strong>The PEC will operate in the following two focus areas:</strong> </p><ul><li>Supporting Family Wellbeing to promote learning</li><li>Engaging all families in the Catholic school community to achieve better learning outcomes in response to parent feedback</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop genuine/mutually respectful relationships with families/parents in the parish/school community</li><li>Facilitate, coordinate and communicate, and where necessary organise and implement activities and programs to meet the spiritual and well-being needs of the families/parents in the school/parish community</li><li>Build links and connections between primary and secondary through Youth ministry and Diocesan initiatives to better support transition and the K-12 pathways offered by CSBB</li><li>Establishing and strengthening links with school counsellors and Catholic Care as key referral professionals</li></ul><p><strong>Suitable Qualifications in the Area of:</strong> </p><ul><li>Education, Welfare, Health, Pastoral Ministry or related disciplines</li><li>Experience working in education and/or pastoral ministry would be desirable (e.g. sacramental program, parent education programs)</li></ul><p><strong>Applicants must have the following:</strong></p><ul><li>Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment purpose</li><li>Current NSW driver’s licence</li><li>Comprehensively insured motor vehicle</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process: </strong> </p><p>Applications for Parent Engagement Coordinator positions are to include: </p><ul><li>A one-page cover letter addressing your interest in the role, essential criteria and preference of school location</li><li>A resume including personal details, qualifications, work history and experience </li></ul><p>If you have any questions or would like to request a copy of the position description, feel free to contact the Talent Team on <a href="mailto:careers@dbb.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow"><strong>careers@dbb.catholic.edu.au</strong></a></p><p><strong>We look forward to receiving your application! </strong></p><p><strong>The last date for submission of applications is Sunday, 8 December 2024.</strong></p><p>All applications are welcome, however please be aware that applications submitted after the closing date may not be considered.</p><p><strong>Position on COVID-19 vaccinations</strong></p><p>Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, <strong>CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated</strong>, <strong>effective 19 September 2022</strong>.
