<p dir="ltr"><strong>About You</strong><br />As an <strong>English Teacher</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br /><br />To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li>
<li dir="ltr">demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach Stage 4 to 6 English</li>
<li dir="ltr">utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li>
<li dir="ltr">employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li>
<li dir="ltr">support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li>
<li dir="ltr">demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being</li>
<li dir="ltr">integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Key Selection Criteria: </strong><br />All applications must address the following selection criteria. The selection criteria for the English Teacher position requires the applicant to explain, and provide examples if relevant, of:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">a working understanding of, and overt commitment to the mission, purpose and ethos of a Catholic School in the tradition of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart</li>
<li dir="ltr">secondary English teaching qualifications to Stage 6</li>
<li dir="ltr">demonstrated experience teaching English to secondary school students is desirable</li>
<li dir="ltr">a clear understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin successful engagement and learning especially in the education of girls</li>
<li dir="ltr">the ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to design engaging and differentiated learning experiences</li>
<li dir="ltr">exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies including digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning</li>
<li dir="ltr">the ability to use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform 'next steps' for students.</li>
<li dir="ltr">the ability to enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student</li>
<li dir="ltr">excellent classroom management skills</li>
<li dir="ltr">effective interpersonal, communication and technology skill</li>
<li dir="ltr">openness to growth and development through professional learning experience which includes classroom observations</li>
<li dir="ltr">the willingness to be involved in extra-curricular aspects of the College.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>You will have attained:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li dir="ltr">eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).</li>
</ul>
