Events Officer

<ul><li>Permanent, Full time, Term Time</li><li>Enjoy working term time - 41 weeks of the year and having school holidays at home</li><li>School Officer Level 4 - $55,944 - $57,703 per annum plus superannuation </li></ul><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>The Events Officer will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all internal and external events for the college. This position will take a lead role in the planning, budgeting, logistics, risk management, documenting and communication with stakeholders for all events. This position will work closely with Marketing and Communications Coordinator and the College Leadership Team. This position will involve communication with staff, students, parents, volunteers and the wider college community. There is a requirement for this role to be flexible with working hours, working outside of normal business hours when required.</p><p><strong>About the contract</strong></p><p>The position is<strong> permanent, full time, term time (41 weeks)</strong></p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>To be considered for this role you will need:</p><ul><li>Be committed to the goals, ethos and mission of the College as a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition.</li><li>Possess a current Queensland Working with Children Blue Card for paid employees before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government.</li><li>Qualifications in Event Management or Marketing and Communications (desirable).</li><li>Current C Class Driver Licence.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in a similar role (experience in school of educational setting is desirable).</li><li>Experience or a keen interest in photography and videography (desirable).</li><li>Sound writing and editing skills and demonstrated experience using design and content programs (eg: In-design, Adobe and Canva).</li><li>Ability to be flexible, embrace and adapt to change and be responsive to the needs of the College.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact positively with a wide range of stakeholders including students, staff, and the wider community.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and ability to develop solutions to problems.</li><li>Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, and the ability to use initiative and work autonomously to meet deadlines.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Information Technology Systems and the Microsoft Suite of applications (eg: Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Sharepoint and One Drive). (Experience with TASS is desirable).</li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending evening or early morning events.</li></ul><p><strong>About our Organisation</strong></p><p>Ignatius Park College is an all-boys Independent Catholic secondary school located in Townsville, North Queensland catering for approximately 950 boys from Years 7-12.
