<p>We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated teacher specialising in Italian to join our close knit school community.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver engaging and inclusive Italian language lessons to all primary year levels.</li><li>Foster a love of language learning, cultural understanding, and global citizenship among students.</li><li>Plan and implement the Italian language curriculum in line with the <strong>Victorian Curriculum</strong>.</li><li>Incorporate interactive and creative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.</li><li>Promote a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.</li><li>Contribute to the positive and collaborative culture at OLHC by working closely with staff to integrate language and cultural learning across the curriculum.</li></ul><p>As an innovative and integral member of our school community you will:</p><ul><li>Create a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, respectful and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices</li><li>Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement a quality program and appropriate pedagogy</li><li>Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning</li><li>Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school community</li><li>Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes</li><li>Collaborate and coordinate with the Leadership team and staff to provide opportunities for students to perform and showcase their artistic talents to share with the school community</li><li>Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.</li></ul><p>To be successful in this role you will bring contemporary teaching experience in Italian as well as:</p><ul><li>A clear understanding of the Victorian Curriculum</li><li>Commitment to child safety</li><li>Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Proven organisational skills including thorough documentation of the Italian program</li><li>Commitment and experience to support a range of student abilities within an inclusive learning environment</li><li>Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes</li><li>Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement</li></ul><p>Applicants are required to:</p><ul><li>Have accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or demonstrate a willingness to work towards such accreditation)</li><li>Hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration</li><li>Include the names and details of three referees in your application</li></ul><p>This school community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
