We are seeking an outstanding leader to join the Director of Schools in this new role with St Joseph’s.  The role will be overseeing the development of Specialist physical education and sports programs for our Melbourne Metropolitan campuses. 

<p><strong>Sport and Health Program Manager</strong></p><p>St Joseph’s offers an inclusive and non-discriminating learning community to young people, who for a variety of reasons, make the choice to attend a specialised learning environment. St Joseph’s operates across multiple campuses, located in North Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED. Such interventions are embedded within the Operation By Principles framework, which combine education with an understanding of trauma-informed practice.</p><p>We are seeking an outstanding leader to join the Director of Schools in this new role with St Joseph’s.  The role will be overseeing the development of Specialist physical education and sports programs for our Melbourne Metropolitan campuses.   </p><p>This role will be focused on: </p><ul><li>Developing bespoke models and programs that deliver engaging education experiences </li><li>Have a focus on the physical health and wellbeing for young people</li><li>Build and facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships within the school community</li></ul><p><strong>The role</strong></p><ul><li>This role is a full-time 1.0FTE ongoing Program Manager based at our Carlton office, working flexibly, with frequent travel to school sites.</li><li>You will be employed on an ongoing basis as a teacher with an allowance for a 5-year fixed or ongoing Education Support with a 5-year fixed term allowance commencing Term 1, 2025, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022. </li></ul><p><strong>You will need:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; <strong>Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty</strong>.</li><li>A Tertiary Qualification in Education, Health, Sports or related field</li><li>Collaborative team player with highly developed interpersonal skills Well-developed understanding of the developmental needs of young people from a disadvantaged or disengaged perspective;</li><li>Ability to develop engaging onsite curriculum.  </li><li>Eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) ability to obtain</li><li>Valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain. </li><li>Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive school vehicles when required. </li></ul><p>Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People are encouraged to apply; we are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity.</p><p><strong>To Apply:</strong></p><p>Please visit our website, learn about our work, and review the position information in Employment Opportunities at www.stjosephs.vic.edu.au/careers. </p><p>Applications must be submitted using the <strong>Apply Now</strong> function on our careers page and must include:</p><ul><li>A <strong>cover letter</strong> which outlines your suitability for the role</li><li>A <strong>statement </strong>which addresses the skills and competencies outlined in the position description (no more than 2 pages)</li><li>A <strong>current curriculum vitae</strong> outlining previous experience and skills;</li><li><strong>Two referees</strong> (including contact details).
