We want to open their eyes and awaken their curiosity and wonder so they can pursue new possibilities and develop bold aspirations.</p><p>The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>You will be joining our vibrant HSIE department in this temporary flexible working arrangement 0.6 fte on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week until the end of 2025.<br><br><strong>About You</strong></p><p>As a HSIE teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.</p><p>To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p><ul><li>create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li><li>demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach Junior HSIE</li><li>utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li><li>employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback</li><li>integrate a broad range of innovative technologies into daily teaching practice reflecting contemporary learning experiences that challenge and extend student understanding</li><li>exhibit outstanding classroom management skills designed to optimise student participation and success in dynamic learning environments</li><li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"> <u>Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</u></a>.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong>&nbsp;<br><br>In joining <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/"><u>Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</u></a>, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students.
