<p><strong>Role Description/Criteria</strong></p><p>We are seeking a passionate and vibrant performing arts teacher to join our innovative school in 2025 with the possibility of ongoing employment in 2026. </p><p>The successful applicant is required for Performing Arts/ Music 0.6, with optional 0.2 - 0.4 in the classroom. </p><p>Graduates encouraged to apply.</p><p><strong>The successful candidate will be able to:</strong></p><p>• Demonstrate an ability to plan and implement a Performing Arts &amp; Music Program from Prep to Year 6 (1 hour per week, per class). </p><p>• Demonstrate the capacity to support school events such as concerts, graduations and sacramental celebrations.</p><p>• Have strong classroom management skills and a talent for promoting positive student behaviour.</p><p>• Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to be flexible.</p><p>• Demonstrate the capacity to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.</p><p>• Complete a work program using the appropriate curriculum guidelines which outlines a weekly and day by day focus in the area of Music and Performing Arts</p><p>• Complete required evaluation, assessment and reporting as part of professional teaching routines.</p><p>• Attend staff meetings, PLTs and professional development activities.</p><p>• Work professionally and collaboratively with colleagues, parents and students modelling compassion, respect and inclusivity, which is in line with the school&#39;s Vision Statement and School Child Safety Policy.</p><p>• Uphold the AITSL professionalism standards for teachers and the VIT Code of Conduct.</p><p> </p><p>The school may commence interviewing before the closing date. </p><p> </p>
