It is Victoria’s energy centre and situated 150 kilometres east of Melbourne on the lands of the Gunaikurnai People, with a population of 15,000.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>Sacred Heart Primary School has an enrolment of 105 and is richly blessed with a proud community that is diverse and exciting. Our teams work collaboratively, planning together and supporting each other to ensure the best outcomes for our students. </p><p><strong>Period:</strong> Beginning in the 2025 year</p><p><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> 27th January 2025</p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Planning and implementing a range of teaching programs,</li><li>Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student progress in key learning areas,</li><li>Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes and consistent with the school’s strategic plan</li><li>Teaching an area of the curriculum to a year level</li><li>Model exemplary classroom practice in the school to engage in critical reflection of personal practice and to support staff to expand their capacity</li><li>Contribute to professional discussion about content, processes and strategies that will shape individual and school professional learning</li><li>Work together to use student data to inform teaching </li></ul><p> <strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Salary earning AUD 77,248 – AUD 110,000</li><li>Salary increases each January and July (Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited Schools and Secretariat Agreement 2022)</li><li>Annual salary incremental progression, 1 May</li><li>Annual leave loading</li><li>Salary Packaging</li><li>Generous salary allowances</li><li>Graduate teacher payment</li><li>Flexible leave day</li><li>Various leave options available </li><li>Time in lieu</li><li>Dedicated support from school leadership</li><li>The latest IT and resources in each classroom</li><li>Urban/regional modern school with onsite parking and close to public transport</li><li>Social events to create community with staff and families</li><li>Co teach with exceptional teachers</li><li>A strong team culture based on relationships and trust</li><li>Outstanding Catholic faith based curriculum </li><li><strong>A PTT undertaking a placement at the school will be eligible for a grant payment of $280 per da</strong>y.</li></ul><p> <strong>Essential Knowledge and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>VIT registration</li><li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is an advantage.</li><li>Exemplary teaching practice with proven classroom management practice</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of current educational needs and achievement standards</li><li>Demonstrated ability to address students&#39; varying intellectual, emotional, and physical abilities in teaching practice and pedagogy.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team building and mentoring skills.</li></ul><p>Selection Criteria</p><ul><li>Commitment to the Catholic Ethos and Catholic Identity of the school</li><li>Strong ability to develop and maintain professional relationships </li><li>Display an ability to work collaboratively in professional teams</li><li>An understanding of evidence-based pedagogy </li><li>Commitment to the emotional and educational well-being of students and their varying abilities</li><li>An understanding and knowledge of the new child-safe standards</li><li>Current VIT registration</li></ul><p>The position will commence on  Monday 28th January  2025.</p><p><i>The interview process may commence prior to the closing date and, if a suitable applicant is found, the role may close early.
