<p>Holy Name Primary School Forster is seeking a&nbsp;Permanent Part Time (31.5 hours per week) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Worker&nbsp;to join.<br>the team January 2025.<br><br>Holy Name Forster is located in the Spectacular Manning Valley, centred in the heart of the Great Lakes region.<br>A school of over 300 students, catering from K-6, Holy Name strives for academic excellence in all Key Learning Areas while maintaining a supportive and Christian environment, with teaching strategies and practices consistently reviewed to ensure quality teaching and learning occurs through targeted improvements.<br><br><br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/5961/position_description_-_cso_-_aboriginal_and_torres_strait_islander_education_worker.pdf"><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></a><br><br>The purpose of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Education Worker is to focus on supporting students, teachers and school communities in the areas of culture, spirituality and student wellbeing and engagement. &nbsp;Promoting the intent of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle’s Reconciliation Action Plan – Reflect, liaising with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within the school will be essential to the realisation of these objectives. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
