This role involves delivering engaging lessons to students in Years 8–10 and contributing to their holistic growth.</p><p>The successful candidate will:</p><ul><li>Teach <strong>Maths</strong> and <strong>Science</strong> to students in Years 8–10.</li><li>Be involved in <strong>a Homegroup/Community</strong> for Middle School students.</li><li>Ideally, have the ability to teach <strong>Christian Living</strong> (preferred but not essential).</li></ul><p>Applicants are expected to integrate the Australian Curriculum into their teaching and demonstrate how a Christian worldview informs their practice, aligning with the values and ethos of Cedar College.</p><p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Plan, deliver, and assess Maths and Science lessons for students in Years 8–10, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum.</li><li>Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.</li><li>Incorporate a Christian worldview into teaching practice, connecting faith with learning in meaningful ways.</li><li>Participate actively in Homegroup/Community sessions, building strong connections with students and supporting their wellbeing.</li><li>Work collaboratively with colleagues and College leadership to maintain high standards of education and pastoral care.</li><li>Attend school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities, contributing to the College’s unified culture.</li></ul><p><strong>KEY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications.</li><li>Current Teacher Registration (South Australia).</li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).</li><li>Current RRHAN-EC certificate (Responding to the Risk of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect – Education and Care Training).</li><li>Protective Practices training (can be completed prior to commencement).</li></ul><p>Applications close at <strong>9:00 am, Tuesday, 3 December 2024</strong></p><p><a href="https://www.cedarcollege.sa.edu.au/" rel="nofollow"><strong>Find out more about Cedar College here.</strong></a></p>
