<p>Arndell Anglican College is a vibrant, P-12 Christ-centred learning community, through which Jesus is made known. Students are encouraged to grow in their individual abilities and interests within a learning environment that promotes optimism, respect, and ownership. </p><p><strong><u>The Invitation</u></strong></p><p>Arndell Anglican College invites applications for the position of <strong>Visual Arts Teacher</strong>, commencing Term 1 2025.</p><p>The Visual Arts Teacher is responsible for fostering student artistic development, nurturing student creativity, and inspiring a lifelong appreciation for the arts.</p><p>Reporting to the Head of Department – Visual Arts, the Visual Arts Teacher will collaborate with the Visual Arts Team, other teaching staff and teacher aides to encourage students to grow intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. In particular the Visual Arts Teacher will:</p><ul><li>Encourage students to explore and express their creativity through different mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art.</li><li>Incorporate various art techniques, art history, and contemporary practices into lessons.</li><li>Guide students in developing their artistic skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and personal artistic style.</li><li>Introduce students to the works of renowned artists, art movements, and cultural influences to broaden their understanding and appreciation of art.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organised, and equipped classroom to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.</li><li>Plan and oversee student art exhibitions and displays to showcase their works.</li><li>Organise and plan art competitions both internally and externally, encouraging students to enter works.</li></ul><p>A full position description and specific responsibilities for each position is available on the <a href="https://www.arndell.nsw.edu.au/about/employment/" rel="nofollow">College website</a>.</p><p><strong><u>About You</u></strong></p><p>As Visual Arts Teacher you hold qualifications in Education (Teaching) and are experienced in teaching across the various visual art mediums.</p><p>You are goal oriented, highly organised, passionate about the education of young people, able to engage students who possess a range of interests and abilities, able to work collaboratively across the whole school, and are a person of Christian faith.
