As a new member of the TAS teaching team, you will receive the support you need and the challenges you crave to provide the top quality education for which TAS holds a strong reputation. </p><p>This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and energetic teacher to work with our experienced team in a vibrant co-educational environment.. </p><p><strong>Do you have… </strong> </p><ul><li>Bachelor of Education or appropriate tertiary/teaching qualification </li><li>Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)</li><li>A current First Aid Certificate in an Education and Care environment (or willingness to obtain) </li><li>A CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) </li></ul><p><strong>Are you a team player who can… </strong> </p><ul><li>Implement “best practice” curriculum in your core teaching areas for Preparatory to Year 6 </li><li>Develop, plan, implement and evaluate age appropriate programmes for the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the students </li><li>Maintain all school records; assess, record and report on student progress </li><li>Take a proactive role in the spiritual development of students, this includes teaching Christian and Values Education (CAVE) if required </li><li>Be aware of special/additional needs, cultural, linguistic, religious, gender, language diversities and socio-economic differences and treat each child with dignity and respect </li><li>Liaise with and support parents and actively encourage parent involvement </li><li>Participate in staff development days, Outdoor Education Programs, Year Level Information Evenings, Student-led Conferences, Principal’s Welcome Evenings, Excursions, Musical Productions and Co-curricular activities. </li><li>Encourage students to be lifelong learners </li></ul><p><strong>Working with students checks</strong> </p><p>TAS provides a safe and supportive learning environment for our students and young people and we achieve this through recruiting excellent staff based on merit and suitability to work with our students and young people.
