Looking for someone to run our front office, oversee student attendance, direct parent queries. Busy and varied role. Full time, permanent, 8am-4pm.

<p>The Student Services Officer is the front face of Emanuel School. They first and foremost create a warm and welcoming environment for all students, staff, parents and visitors to our School. They will oversee student attendance records, direct parent queries and provide support to the other administration staff during the term breaks including enrolments and Executive Assistants to the senior leadership team. </p><p>This is a full time, permanent position that works all year round, with the exception of the school closure period over December/January. The hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required in instances where children have not been picked up by parents, early departures or late arrivals from events etc. </p><p>The ideal commencement date for this position will be Monday 13 January 2024. </p><p><strong>About Emanuel School</strong></p><p>Emanuel is an independent, co-educational, Jewish day school from Pre-school to Year 12, situated in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.  </p><p>Emanuel staff are highly competent, passionate and engaging. They ensure the best possible learning environment for students and are committed to their own continued growth as professionals.</p><p>We are continually enhancing our learning and recreational facilities, proving students with outstanding opportunities to grow and develop their unique skills and talents and to achieve success while contributing actively to the life of the school, the Jewish community, Australian society and the world beyond.</p><p>We are a Jewish School, though you do not have to be Jewish to join our team.</p><p><strong>About this opportunity</strong></p><p>The Student Services Officer will be required to: </p><ul><li>Create and maintain a welcoming and professional reception environment for all students, staff, parents and visitors to the school </li><li>Welcome and announce visitors to their contact person</li><li>Answer and direct incoming calls to the main reception in a warm and professional manner</li><li>Assist parents with general enquiries and forwarding their queries to the appropriate staff member.</li><li>Sign in late students and signing out students for early leave </li><li>Oversee daily student attendance including following up on unexplained absences with parents, entering bulk absences, reviewing and checking data for anomalies</li><li>Communicate with the wellbeing teams to highlight any possible concerns with students from their attendance record and pass on any relevant information or trends </li><li>Regularly review attendance processes with the relevant staff to ensure the process is optimised and there is strong communication with those involved. </li></ul><p>For a full overview of this role, you can find the role description at our <a href="https://www.emanuelschool.nsw.edu.au/about-our-school/employment/" rel="nofollow">website</a>. </p><p>The successful candidate will be customer service-focused,  highly organised and have a can-do attitude. They will be calm under pressure and be able to create a professional and warm reception area for our school.
