<p><strong>Domremy Catholic College Five Dock</strong>&nbsp;<br><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Friday 31 January 2025&nbsp;<br><strong>Closing Date: </strong>Monday 25 November 2024&nbsp;<br><strong>Capacity: </strong>Part-Time, Temporary</p><p>Domremy College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Learning Support Officer for a temporary contract commencing Term 1, 2025. The position will involve 36 hours per fortnight. Working schedule will be confirmed with the successful applicant.</p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><p>The role of Learning Support Officer is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities. The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning. As a member of Domremy College, the role requires a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students.</p><p><strong>Key selection criteria</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will be able to:</p><ul><li>demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs</li><li>collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning team</li><li>provide in class support to students who have a mild to moderate cognitive disability.</li><li>collect data and evidence to support NCCD requirements and an understanding of relevant legislation (DDA, DSE).</li><li>administer one on one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities.</li><li>administer a range of standardised assessments.</li><li>knowledge of the Quicksmart Program preferred.</li><li>maintain school based data and records upholding confidentiality.</li><li>use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications. into everyday learning and planning.</li></ul><p><strong>Formal Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Officer/Teacher's Aide is essential.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
