<p><strong>Role Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges</li><li>Assist teachers in implementing individualised education plans and implementing effective teaching strategies</li><li>Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources to support student learning</li><li>Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students</li><li>Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers</li><li>Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student support</li><li>Contribute to the overall positive and inclusive culture of the school</li></ul><p><strong>What we&#39;re looking for</strong></p><ul><li>Relevant qualifications in education, special education, or a related field</li><li>Experience working with students with special educational needs, including those with physical, cognitive, or behavioural challenges</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues</li><li>Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills</li><li>A passion for supporting the growth and development of all students</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team</li></ul><p>The successful candidate would be required to have appropriate Criminal Records Checks and Working with Children Check.</p><p>St. Joseph’s school community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, therefore the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of, and a commitment to, providing a safe environment for children.</p>
