<p><i>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</i></p><p>A full time, permanent opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified <strong>Facilities/Maintenance Officer</strong> to join the College&#39;s Facilities and Maintenance Team. This position is responsible for improving overall campus presentation and carrying out repairs, maintenance as well as minor building and furniture alterations as well as assisting with College event setups.</p><p>The ideal candidate will offer a positive work ethic, with excellent communication skills and a &#39;can-do&#39; approach.   </p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Liaising with other members of the Facilities team to ensure that all maintenance and facilities work is carried out in the most efficient, effective and timely manner</li><li>Carrying out painting and associated repair and refurbishments across the campus</li><li>Assisting with College set ups and takedowns as well as general deliveries</li><li>Keeping the College workshop tidy and clean</li><li>Contributing to the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment for all</li></ul><p>Key Competencies:</p><ul><li>Professional handyperson, prior experience with a diverse range of Facilities/Maintenance tasks highly desirable</li><li>Trade experience such as carpentry, basic plumbing, electrical also desirable</li><li>Ability to work at heights over two metres (with safety equipment and training)</li><li>Physically fit with the ability to move furniture and set up adjustable stages, and other heavy manual handling tasks</li><li>Understanding of the proactive care and protection of campus facilities, assets and resources</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of WH&amp;S legislation and regulations</li></ul><p>This is a full-time, ongoing position based around a 38 hour week with hours in the team spanning from 6.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday. </p><p>Staff at Monte enjoy a range of benefits including:</p><ul><li>Dedicated staff learning and meeting areas and access to the latest technology</li><li>Ongoing professional and pastoral development including staff conference days and workshops with leading local and international education presenters</li><li>Staff scholarships for external academic course work</li><li>“Monte Active” program designed to support the health and wellbeing of all staff including access to the College gym and swimming pool</li><li>Regular staff morning teas and social opportunities</li><li>Staff choir</li></ul><p>For more information and to apply, please visit the Monte website and click on About Monte then &#39;Working at Monte&#39;</p><p><a href="https://www.monte.nsw.edu.au/about-monte/working-at-monte/" rel="nofollow">https://www.monte.nsw.edu.au/about-monte/working-at-monte/</a> </p><p><strong>Applications close 29 November 2024</strong></p><p>The successful applicant must be willing to support the Catholic ethos of the College and provide a valid Working with Children Check prior to commencement.</p>
