We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified or experienced Learning Support Officer. Salary calculated on averaged conditions (generally only required to work during school term time)</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>The role of Learning Support Officer is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities. The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning and will assist the classroom teacher in providing a quality Catholic education focused on maximising student outcomes, through a holistic, student centred curriculum.<br><br>As a member of St. Clare's College, the role requires a commitment to supporting a positive religious and cultural Catholic school environment for young women in the Franciscan tradition.&nbsp;<br><br>The successful candidate will be able to:</p><ul><li>demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs</li><li>collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning team</li><li>possess strong communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with students, parent/carers and staff when required</li><li>provide in class support to students who may have a mild to moderate cognitive disability</li><li>use Catholic Schools NSW PPSD profiles is an advantage</li><li>administer one on one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities</li><li>assist in administering a range of standardised assessments</li><li>help maintain school based data and records upholding confidentiality</li><li>use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications into everyday learning and planning</li><li>have the ability to be organised, supportive and resourceful.</li></ul><p>Formal Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Officer/Teacher's Aide is advantageous</li><li>a Certificate III or IV in Educational Support from TAFE NSW or equivalent post-secondary qualification will be looked at favourably.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
