Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.</p><p><strong>About The Role</strong></p><p>The role of the Wellbeing Partner is to provide expert professional advice, consultation, and case management support to Broken Bay systemic stakeholders that builds their capacity to support students with complex behaviour, social emotional, and mental health difficulties.</p><p>The role supports schools to implement whole school evidence-based practices that maximise student wellbeing and learning outcomes. This is<strong> </strong>a<strong> 12 month temporary (Parental Leave Cover), full-time </strong>position based at our head office in <strong>Pennant Hills </strong>for an immediate start. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provides subject matter expertise and professional judgement in case management support to school leadership teams that supports students with complex behaviour or mental health difficulties that can pose significant risk.</li><li>Provides advice on cognitive, emotional, and behavioural assessments, mental health screeners, and referrals to and liaison with outside agencies.</li><li>Collaborates with school leaders and Safeguarding professionals to appropriately mitigate and manage child safeguarding concerns.</li><li>Leads and/or participates in case management teams, liaising with school, internal professional staff and external health professionals.</li><li>Provides targeted professional learning and coaching to contribute to building the capacity of school staff in supporting and managing student mental health, behaviour and wellbeing.</li><li>Coaches and supports school leaders and teachers in the application and implementation of wellbeing related whole school frameworks such as School-wide Positive Behaviour for Learning and Be You.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Highly skilled professional with experience counselling children and young people, or held a wellbeing role in a school</li><li>Experience in using evidence and data analysis to inform best practice initiatives </li><li>Experience in leading successful improvement initiatives with a solutions focused mindset </li><li>Logical thinker with can-do attitude </li><li>Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with efficiency</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills </li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p><ul><li>Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology and/or tertiary qualification in Educational Leadership or Education, or relevant experience in school wellbeing role </li><li>Valid Working with Children Check</li><li>Current and valid NSW Driver’s Licence</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits of Working with Us</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary on offer (circa $170K including super)</li><li>Annual leave loading</li><li>Free onsite parking or public transport close by at our head office</li><li>Generous leave entitlements including ex-gratia leave at Christmas time</li><li>Salary Packaging</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applications should include:</p><ul><li>A Cover Letter of no more than one page, addressing why you are interested in the role and addressing each of the essential requirements listed above. </li><li>A current Resume</li></ul><p><i>Previous applicants need not apply. </i></p><p><strong>Please note only shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly. </strong></p><p>Closing Date: <strong>COB, 19 November 2024</strong></p><p><i>Agencies, please note that unsolicited resumes will not be accepted for this position.</i></p><p><strong>New position on COVID-19 vaccinations</strong></p><p>Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated, effective 19 September 2022.
