St. Paul’s Primary School is looking to appoint a committed, dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time or Part Time Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our learning community and support our students.

<p><strong>St. Paul’s Primary School is looking to appoint a committed, dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our learning community and support our students in 2025.</strong></p><p>This is a fixed-term position. The hours of employment for this position will be Monday to Friday- 8:30am - 3:30pm. <strong>Part Time applications will be considered.</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>be working with children supporting student learning under the direction of the classroom teacher and leader.</li><li>work with individual and small groups of students both within and outside of the classroom to assist them with their educational and development programs.</li><li>be able to plan for and implement programs and strategies, supporting students with learning challenges.</li><li>document adjustments relating to student&#39;s Pupil Learning Plans.</li><li>be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic.</li><li>have experience working with students with a diverse range of needs.</li><li>display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be flexible, proactive and resourceful.</li><li>use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support.</li><li>be self motivated and able to work independently if necessary.</li><li>be able to build positive relationships with children and assist in creating learning environments where all are valued and challenged.</li><li>demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students.</li><li>be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement.</li><li>be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system.</li></ul><p>Special Requirements:</p><p>Applicants must have:</p><ol><li>Working With Children Check</li><li>Current Police Check</li><li>Current First Aid qualifications</li><li>Certificate lll and/or Certificate lV in Education Support</li></ol><p>Submit a Covering Letter and your Curriculum Vitae, including contact details for three current referees, to the Principal via email: principal&#64;spcoburg.catholic.edu.au</p>
